Giorgi Tumasyan

Giorgi Tumasyan is a diplomat, leader, and advocate for Georgia’s and Armenia’s Euro-Atlantic integration. He has extensive experience in international relations, youth diplomacy, and community engagement. Giorgi was selected through a competitive open process by the Government of Georgia to serve as Georgia’s Youth Representative to the United Nations (2017–2018) and later admitted to the Diplomatic Service Reserve of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia (2017–2021). He also served as Georgia’s Young European Ambassador through the European Union’s Neighbourhood and Enlargement program (2017–2018).
Recognised as an Emerging Leader by the U.S. Department of State in 2025, Giorgi participated in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). He is a member of Stanford University’s Leadership Network for Change, a Global Young Professional with Young Professionals in Foreign Policy (YPFP), and a Global Shaper of the World Economic Forum. He has also chaired the Armenian Community Platform of Georgia and founded SDGs Caucasus, the Caucasian Academy of Diplomacy, and the Youth Movement for Georgian-Abkhaz and Georgian-Ossetian Reconciliation. Additionally, he served as a member of the Council of Ethnic Minorities under the Public Defender of Georgia.
Giorgi holds a Master’s level degree in Government (MPA) from the joint program of the German University of Administrative Sciences and Tbilisi State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations with a Minor in International and Public Law from the Free University of Tbilisi. He has completed professional programs at Stanford University, the University of North Texas, the Tbilisi School of Political Studies of the Council of Europe, the European Academy of Diplomacy, and the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies. Fluent in Georgian, English, German, and Russian, Giorgi combines academic expertise with practical diplomatic and leadership experience to advance Euro-Atlantic integration and regional cooperation.
