Tornike Parulava is a Georgian diplomat and security policy expert with more than two decades of experience in Euro-Atlantic integration and international security. He has served in senior leadership roles at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, including as Director of the Euro-Atlantic Integration Department and Director of the Security Policy and Euro-Atlantic Integration Department.
A seasoned representative to NATO, he spent over eight years in Brussels as Deputy Head of the Mission of Georgia to NATO and earlier as Political Counsellor. Throughout his career, he has played a central role in advancing Georgia’s NATO integration process, coordinating major defence and security projects—including the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package and its Enhanced phase—and strengthening Georgia’s interoperability and resilience.
Tornike Parulava has led complex international operations, including the Kabul–Tbilisi airbridge evacuation in August 2021, which assisted more than 5,000 people.
He holds a BA/MA in Law from Tbilisi State University and is fluent in Georgian, English, and Russian. His expertise spans international and regional security, NATO policies, hybrid threats, cyber and energy security, crisis management, and defence institution building.
