EU Awareness Centre at the European Ideas Forum 2025
On 9–10 December 2025, the Executive Director of the EU Awareness Centre, Dr George Robakidze, participated in the European Ideas Forum 2025 (EIF 2025), a flagship event organised by the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies.
During the event, George Robakidze had the honour and pleasure of meeting Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament and a dear friend whose vision for Europe has always been inspiring.
During the forum, George Robakidze also had the pleasure of meeting Mikuláš Dzurinda, President of the Wilfried Martens Centre, former Prime Minister of Slovakia and a distinguished European politician. During the short meeting, they discussed Georgia’s EU integration trajectory, the current challenges facing the country’s reform process, and the increasing importance of supporting civil society, public awareness initiatives, and evidence-based policy advocacy.
Dr Robakidze and President Dzurinda also explored prospects for possible cooperation between the EU Awareness Centre and the Martens Centre.
EUAC’s presence at EIF 2025 reinforces the organisation’s strategic approach: engaging directly with leading European policymakers and think-tanks to ensure that Georgia’s European aspirations remain understood, supported, and advanced at the highest levels.
The EU Awareness Centre will continue to build new partnerships and contribute to the broader European conversation on democracy, security, and integration.
