Our Vision

A resilient, democratic, and well-informed Europe where the citizens of Georgia and other EU-aspiring countries can freely shape their future, participate in trusted institutions, and advance toward European integration without manipulation or coercion. EU Awareness Centre (EUAC) envisions societies where truth prevails over propaganda, reforms are guided by knowledge, and European values foster peace, prosperity, and democratic renewal.

Our Mission

The EU Awareness Centre is a Brussels-based non-profit organisation committed to strengthening democratic resilience, promoting European values, and supporting Georgia and other EU-aspiring countries on their path toward EU integration. Centre brings together professionals, experts, civil society actors, and European partners to counter disinformation, advance fact-based public understanding, and foster meaningful engagement between aspiring member states and EU institutions.

It seeks to empower citizens, media, policymakers, and civil society organisations with reliable knowledge about the European Union, other European institutions, and NATO; to promote good governance and the rule of law; and to support reforms essential for successful integration. The organisation bridges informational, institutional, and societal gaps by connecting expertise, amplifying democratic narratives, and helping communities build resilience against hybrid threats that endanger their European future.

Key Areas of Work

To fulfil its mission, EUAC focuses on the following core areas:

  1. Countering Disinformation and Hybrid Threat
EUAC monitors harmful narratives, analyses manipulation techniques, and develops public communication tools to strengthen societal resilience against foreign propaganda. Through educational content, evidence-based messaging, and expert partnerships, the organisation aims to foster a secure, well-informed, and critically aware public.
  1. Connecting Expertise Across Borders
EUAC builds bridges between EU-based institutions—public bodies, think tanks, universities, NGOs, and private-sector partners—and stakeholders in Georgia and the wider region.

Planned activities include:

  • facilitating online exchanges and expert discussions,
  • organising study visits and training programmes,
  • enabling bilateral consultations between European and local institutions,
  • developing joint projects on good governance, security, and integration.
  1. Knowledge Sharing and Public Education
EUAC produces multilingual blogs, articles, videos, research papers, and other educational materials to strengthen democratic resilience and civic understanding. The organisation also aims to create an open digital repository of resources accessible to all stakeholders involved in EU integration and civic education.
  1. Supporting EU Accession Processes
EUAC organises workshops, webinars, and training sessions for civil servants, journalists, students, and diaspora members on technical aspects of the EU accession process, helping deepen understanding of the standards, criteria, and reforms required for successful integration.
  1. Facilitating Political and Public Support
EUAC engages European institutions, governments, civil society, and the expert community to strengthen support for Georgia’s European aspirations and civil society initiatives that advance the EU agenda. This includes organising meetings, dialogues, and briefings in European capitals, as well as fostering exchanges between EU experts and Georgian civil society representatives.

Our Values

  1. Truth and Transparency
We believe that informed citizens are the foundation of democratic societies. EUAC is committed to accuracy, transparency, and evidence-based communication, particularly in environments targeted by disinformation.
  2. European Democratic Principles
Our work reflects and promotes the values at the core of the European project: human dignity, freedom, democracy, rule of law, equality, and respect for human rights.
  3. Independence and Integrity
EUAC is non-partisan and independent. We uphold professional integrity, ethical standards, and respect for diverse perspectives in all our activities.
  4. Collaboration and Partnership
We value cross-border cooperation. EUAC connects local and European experts, institutions, civil society actors, and diaspora communities to foster shared understanding and accelerate democratic reforms.
  5. Public Service and Responsibility
We operate with a strong sense of duty to the people and societies we serve. Our work contributes meaningfully to democratic progress, public awareness, and the well-being of future generations.
  6. Resilience and Courage
Facing hybrid threats and malign influences requires courage and societal resilience. EUAC helps communities build the capacity to resist manipulation and safeguard their European future.
