Ilan Dascencao
Non-Resident Fellow
Ilan Dascencao is a Non-Resident Fellow at the EU Awareness Centre, which he first joined as a Research Intern in 2026, contributing research and written content to the Centre. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in European and International Relations from Sciences Po Saint-Germain-en-Laye, complemented by an Erasmus exchange at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in European Politics and Governance at Sciences Po Strasbourg. Alongside his academic and research work, he serves as Manager of International and European Projects at the Maison d’Europe des Landes, and previously held a position at a public affairs consultancy working at the intersection of health science and policymaking. His work is driven by an interest in democratic legitimacy and the mechanisms through which EU institutions build transparent connections with the people they serve. He is fluent in French and English, with conversational Spanish and basic Russian.
