Ambassador Janjalia is a career diplomat and international affairs expert with over 26 years of experience working at the highest levels of government.
His journey in public service began in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, where he moved from intern to Deputy Minister, serving across roles in diplomacy, strategy, and economic cooperation.
He worked with key international organisations like the EU, UN, OSCE, GUAM, TRACECA, BSEC, etc.
As Georgia’s Ambassador to Latvia and a senior leader in the Foreign Ministry, he led EU integration processes, economic diplomacy, and strategic negotiations.
Helped to reshape major infrastructure and trade initiatives like the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, and deepened Georgia’s role in the European and Black Sea regions.
Designed and implemented training programs for public authorities and civil society organisations, strengthening institutional capacity in international relations and governance.
Prior to public service, he led private sector enterprises for over five years, bringing a pragmatic and results-oriented approach.
He brings deep expertise in diplomacy, international law, business and economic strategy, with strong communication and leadership skills.
