Matviichuk at the Kreisky Forum — Justice as Weapon

The Chairman of the EU Awareness Centre, Ambassador David Dondua, attended the panel discussion “Justice as Weapon” at the Kreisky Forum for International Dialogue in Vienna, featuring Tessa Szyszkowitz in conversation with Nobel Peace Prize laureate Oleksandra Matviichuk. The discussion focused on documenting Russian war crimes in Ukraine, including atrocities against women, and highlighted efforts to bring perpetrators to justice through initiatives such as the ‘Tribunal for Putin.’ The event provided a platform to explore the role of law, human rights, and civil society in promoting accountability and democratic resilience in Ukraine. Participants also addressed the challenges of documenting violations in conflict zones and the importance of international support for Ukraine’s democratic institutions.
